How right are the words, Freedom's just another word for nothing left to loose. For an individual that has nothing to lose is the individual who can take any chances without worry. That individual is beyond the worries of that have been self imposed. That individual is beyond the consequences that are not his own.
We must be free. We strive to be free since we have conscience, even beyond the age of reason. Since Adam and Eve, since Lucifer and Prometheus we are in constant struggle to be free. And as such we must design and build our lives in the manner that we can leave everything and owe nothing to anyone.
Take the Buddhist concept of detachment to the extreme…
When you can say, I don’t need this job… and be able to quit without repercussion you are free. When you are able to say or write what’s in your mind without any internal sensor, then you are free. If you can say to that significant other “I don’t want you or need you”, and follow your own road and not miss that being... When you can turn your gaze to the heavens and hells and yell ‘I am beyond you’, then you are truly free.
But that requires the courage of being an individual. That requires the shrewdness of a being with purpose…
